Our Founders
Meet our founder Mr. Harsh Hemdev. Being a student of HR College and after achieving his Masters Degree in International Management from King's College London, Harsh Hemdev has managed to develop the right business mind required to be a successful entrepreneur.
After coming back from his further education, Harsh has trained with different factories, where he has learned the story of diamonds from scratch i.e. right from the rough diamonds that come from mines to manufacturing them into polished diamonds.
These crucial months spent in different factories along with spending time with his father Mr. Kamlesh Hemdev in the retail store, has helped him get a good grip of the industry as a whole.
Venturing into the space of delicate couture jewellery, Harsh aims to build Karat One into a premium jewellery brand offering high quality and fine jewellery products at an affordable price, making the brand a solution for people who share a common love for jewellery.

It was at the young age of 16 when Kamlesh Hemdev stepped into the family business. A stickler for perfection, he had hands-on knowledge about jewellery. With a vision for the company, he started trading in diamonds at the young age of 22 and worked hard to make his dreams come true. Being the face and pioneer to the brand Ghanasingh Fine Jewels for many years, Kamlesh always had the vision to make jewellery more fun, affordable and stylish for his clientele. The thought for which made him create a Sub Brand “Karat One Jewels” which would only focus on the delicate yet intricate styles of jewellery.
